Lichten uit
Lets turn off the light on September 17, 2008 from 21:50 to 22:00 hours. This is a proposal to turn of as many electrical lights and appliances as possible, to let our planet ‘breathe’ easier for a while.
If the answer is massive, the energy saving can be brutal. If only for 10 minutes, let us see what happens, we stay in the dark, we light a candle and simply look at our planet and breathe. Remember that union is strength, and together and with the help of the Internet maybe we can be in power and do some big stuff. Move the news …
Het bovenstaande komt uit een van de kettingmails die de ronde doen om weer eens wereldwijd de lichten uit te schakelen. Ik zag het ook al opduiken op Facebook en op enkele forums. Voor zover ik weet, is dit nog iets anders dan Earth Hour. De volgende Earth Hour is pas in 2009 (op zaterdag 28 maart om 8:30 pm). Hoe het ook zit, ik vind het een leuk idee.
